Roger Moore Says Bond Is Too Violent!

I Personally am a big fan of James Bond, but I have to say that I was somewhat perplexed by this news article where Roger Moore (a former James Bond himself) said that he thinks the Bond movies have become too violent.

JAMES BOND IS AN ASSASSIN!!!
HE HAS A LICENSE TO KILL!
WTF?! is he supposed to have tea with people?

It's not that they've become too violent, but the latest crop of Bond films have totally mutilated the James Bond character.

In their attempt to make Bond films more gritty, the film-makers have turned Bond into a common thug. Bond uses cunning and skill to defeat enemies. And he does it with style and wit. Not brute force and ignorance.

And what hell was that scene where he got his balls beaten in Casino Royale all about? Bond is a sex symbol. He doesn't get his balls beaten.

The last Brosnan films were dull and cheesy, but the new ones just aren't Bond.
